Life is a better with a little sand between your toes
I’ve never been a big fan of sand. I used to make sure I wouldn’t come even close to a beach or a desert. So, when you read the header you must think.. Hmm.. What is this post all about.. Well, look at me know! I’ve moved on from all the hate towards sand (lol) and I’m happily living in a sandpit called Dubai.
If there’s anything that makes Dubai special it has to be the fact that the first skyscraper was build not even 50 years ago. And a couple of years later we actually have some of the most impressive buildings in the world like the; Burj Khalifa (highest tower in the world), Burj al Arab (one of the most luxurious hotels in the world) and many more.. But besides that you are still being able to escape from the big city and go into the desert.
I never thought I would be that type of person who would love to spend her weekends by the beach or in the desert. But.. I have to admit, I actually really enjoy it now (confessions). So if you’re visiting or planning to visit Dubai, you have to make sure to add a desert safari on your to do list. Trust me.. As soon as the sun goes down, you’ll have the most magical feeling you could ever imagine..
What is a desert safari?
There are few different desert safari’s available, but the most common one is a jeep drive through enormous mounds of sand (”dune-bashing”) followed by a stop at a campsite where you’ll able to ride camels, get henna tattoos, smoke shisha and be entertained by a belly dancer while enjoying your Arabic dinner. Obviously there are also camps available where you would be able to rent a quad or buggy, for those who are seeking even more adventure 🙂
Besides the fun activities this is the perfect location to shoot some awesome pictures as well hehe (see a couple of my pictures of my shoot below).

It does take some time to take a good shot, when it’s windy..
Got it lol
